September 18th the Hunterdon Sailing Club is participating in the World’s Largest Sailing Event, Bart’s Bash. Founded in 2014 in remembrance of the inspirational Andrew “Bart” Simpson, a double Olympic medallist who tragically lost his life while training for the 2013 America’s Cup. Sailing venues around the world participate in a global race which is scored using a handicap system. Currently there are 36 countries and 252 venues participating.
