Hunterdon Sailing Club has a large and active Sunfish fleet, with racing twice weekly, and many youth and adult events and regattas. The club’s learn-to-sail classes are held in Sunfish, and boats are provided for students.
The Sunfish fleet is active in racing in the Spring, Summer & Fall Series (on Sundays), Twilight Series (Wednesdays), and special regattas. For Sunfish racing results, see the HSC Racing Results page:
The Sunfish needs no introduction as its total number of boats exceeds 500,000. The boat is raced single-handed or with a crew of two. She is an exciting boat for the avid racer as well as an ideal trainer for youth and adults. The boat is 13’10″ long and has a hull weight of 139 pounds, making it easy to launch and to transport.
The class association website is www.sunfishclass.org.
