The Rookie Regatta was not held on August 3 due to rain. So come out on Saturday, August 17 for the 2013 Rookie Regatta, the sailing race for HSC’s newest sailors.
The Rookie Regatta is a chance to get more sailing practice – and see some friends from your sailing class! The regatta is open to all new skippers, including those from the Learn-to-Sail program and we will race in Sunfish.
The event will start with the skippers’ meeting at 11:00 am where we will spend some time covering the basics of racing – how to start, sail around and finish a race without having to say you’re sorry <grin>. Racing will start about 12:30 and we’ll hold 3 to 4 races.
Bring your pfd, lunch, water bottle and sense of fun. Look forward to seeing you there!
