Hunterdon Sailing Club will participate in the Bart’s Bash on Sunday, September 21st.
This is a worldwide sailing regatta that will ‘follow the sun’ on a global scale and is proposed to be the largest sailing regatta ever – a potential Guinness World Record! The regatta is in honor of Andrew (Bart) Simpson, an accomplished sailor who died last year during a capsize of an America’s Cup AC72. Bart was a dedicated sailing mentor and the foundation in his name is trying to raise awareness of sailing and to generate funds to support youth sailing programs. The event will be monitored by the Guinness World Records organization to validate compliance and participation.
Come out and join us! The Hunterdon Sailing Club will incorporate the Bart’s Bash within our Sunday racing on September 21st.
