The HSC Flying Scot fleet invites ALL club members to the 2013 Scot Scramble!

This is a fun, group-sailing event, not a race.

Saturday, July 20th at 11 AM
Lunch on the water — bring your own food & beverages.
Bring your own life jacket.
Bring supper soakers and water blasters if it’s hot.

All HSC members and boats welcome, but all boats must carry two or more people. Numerous Flying Scots and other boats will be available to take members who do not have boats.

11:00 AM assemble at the lake for skipper/crew meeting.

Boat owners stay with their boats, but everyone else gets shuffled at random among the boats, and everyone gets to skipper under the supervision of the boat owner. A parent can stay with their children … or not. The assigned crews help rig and launch the boats.

After the skippers’ meeting, the See Which Won pontoon boat motors out and anchor to establish first destination.

All boats sail to SWW and raft up for picnic luncheon on the water — BYO. We can carry extra food drink on SWW .

After lunch, crews are shuffled again.
If weather is hot, break out super soakers and water blasters for running sea battle. Skippers and some crews may opt-out by flying their red protest flag.

SWW motors to Goose Island. Next destination. Boats raft up and swap crews again.

Sail to another swap point, or back to HSC beach depending on time.
