
Adult Learn to Sail Classes
Class Description: These weekend courses are designed to teach beginners how to sail. Each day includes “Chalk Talk” instruction on shore followed by practice on the water. You will learn how to rig a sunfish, steer, tack, sail upwind, downwind, and gybing, right-of-way rules, capsize recovery, sailing terms and concepts. The last class is a solo long distance sail to practice all points of sail. You will need to bring: Life Jacket, Sunscreen, Lunch, Closed-toe water shoes, sunglasses with safety strap, lots of water. Classes are limited to 12 students on a first come first served basis. Open adults and minors age 15+ accompanied by a parent or guardian.
In order to sign up for classes, you must first become a member of Hunterdon Sailing Club ($150/family membership)

Learn to Sail is a 3-day course that takes place Friday – Sunday:
Friday 6pm-8:30pm
Saturday 8:30am-4:00pm
Sunday 8:30am-12:00pm
