It’s almost time to Sail! Club Work Day Needs You April 20

The 2013 Sailing Season is here! Join us THIS SATURDAY, April 20th, for the HSC Spring Work Day. Please meet by the HSC Shed at Spruce Run at 10AM! You don’t need sailing experience – everyone can help.

Our Race Committee boat, See Which Won, sustained wind damage during Hurricane Sandy, and she received brand new railings last weekend! On Saturday, we will be adding a cover and deck boxes before launching her for the season. All of the Club’s Sunfish will also be receiving brand new sails!!! And of course we will be taking care of the usual cleaning/organization of the safety boats and shed, making sure the HSC equipment is ready to go for Opening Day!

Anyone who can attend should feel free to bring: work gloves; saw horses for working on boats; any cordless power tools; hand tools, gardening tools, cleaning supplies, and large containers of clean tap water.

Thank you in advance for making the time to participate in this important event. The more people who can attend, the faster we can get everything done!

See you at the lake!
