| Hello Sunfish Sailors! Our Sunfish fleet, #156, is very active with races on Sunday afternoons as well as Wednesday nights. If you haven’t been out on the water yet, you are missing some great sailing! The club has Sunfish boats available for use by members who have taken the Adult or Youth LTS classes or have equivalent experience. If you would like to use one please show up about an hour ahead of the races (by 5 pm on Wednesday and by 12:30 pm on Sunday) so you can get carrying and rigging help from other club members. You will also need to sign the boats out. On Wednesday nights we have two divisions as the fleet is quite large and many people participate. These are the Championship and Challenger fleets. If you have been winning over the past 5 years you are in the Championship fleet, or you can self select into it. If you win the Challenger division you move up to the Championship fleet. Just like Sunday’s it is a very welcoming environment. If you are new to racing, come out and just tag along at the back of the fleet until you get comfortable with the situation. Club members are expected to participate on Race Committee. There is a sign up genius which you can do this from. Wednesday RC is one lead person and one crew. Sunday RC is one lead person and three crew. It is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the HSC racing program.
