Monday, May 30th will be the Sunfish Memorial Day Regatta! Attend the skipper’s meeting at 10 a.m for full details. Five races are planned with one throw-out. The awards will be the first three places, 1st Challenger, and 1st Junior. Entrance fee is $10 to cover continental breakfast and awards. Fleet assignments do not need to follow the Twilight assignment and you can declare your fleet the day of the regatta.
Sunday May 29th is the Force 5 Spring Spectacular! Commencing with a skipper’s meeting at 10 a.m, 5 or 6 races are planned with a break for lunch. If 6 races are sailed, we’ll have one throw out for best of 5. The start will be the 3 minutes single fleet starting sequence. Coffee, water, and bagels will be available in the am. Please bring $5 to cover costs. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
Wednesday, April 27 is opening day for the Sunfish Twilight series. Sailors arrive around 5 pm to set up their boats and first race is at 6. After racing we meet at the Tuscany Grill at the corner of Route 31 and Van Syckles Rd. for pizza. Come out and join the fun! The water is still chilly (below 50 degrees) so a wetsuit (or drysuit) is recommended.
Sunday May 1 is opening race day for all fleets. Sailors arrive around noon to be out on the water for the first race at 1:30. There are sometimes crewing opportunities on the larger boats, or for race committee. Those interested should arrive early while everyone is rigging.
Here is the newsletter for January, including the awards from 2015 and new officers for the coming year.

HSC 2015 Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner – November 14th — Join The Celebration!!!!
The 2015 Annual Dinner is upon us! This year’s dinner will be hosted by the Force 5 Fleet at the Mountain View Chalet on Saturday, November 14th.
The agenda for the evening will include sailing awards, special recognition, and lots of fun events. One official item on the agenda will be the ‘call to order’ of the HSC Annual Meeting for the election of our 2015 Officer Team.
The Hunterdon Sailing Club is registered as an official site for the 2015 Bart’s Bash Regatta on Sunday, Sept. 20. We will conduct the Bash as the first race or our normal Sunday afternoon regatta on the 20th. The regatta is open to any and all types of sailboats. Last year we had a wide variety of boats, including two sailing canoes. This year the HSC Executive Team has put in an early order for at least 5 more knots of wind – just to make it more fun and interesting for all. Think good thoughts..!!
The link below will take you to the Bart’s Bash site for sign up. Donations are entirely up to you. More details of the event will be announced over the next few weeks – but please Hold the Date and we’ll see you on the 20th.
