HSC members – Please note your calendars for the 45th annual Commodore’s Cup Regatta on Saturday, June 8th. This regatta was established in 1969 to find the outstanding skipper in the Hunterdon Sailing Club.
This event is unrestricted, which means that any sailboat is eligible to participate in the Commodore’s Cup and can have an equal chance of winning!
So, bring on the Hunters, Precisions, Americans, Force 5s, Jet 14s, Sunfish, Flying Scots, Lasers, or sailboat of your choice. The race committee will apply the Portsmouth Rating system (described on page 19 of the HSC Handbook) to level-the-playing-field. All participating boats will be started at the same time as one “fleet” for each of the 3 races. The actual elapsed time for each boat will be adjusted to determine the winning placement for each race. This means that the first boat to cross the finish line may not be the winner!
There will be refreshments at 10:15am, Skippers’ meeting will be at 11:00am and we will start before Noon.
