The 2021 HSC season is officially under way with the completion of the 1st Wednesday Twilight and Sunday Series. Thank you for everyone who volunteered on the Race Committee to get us started. For anyone who has not yet signed up for RC please do so through the Sign Up Genius link on the HSC website. The more desired dates tend to fill up quickly.

Commodore’s Cup which was originally scheduled for Saturday June 5th has been moved to Saturday May 22nd.
As it was mentioned earlier, the spring brings some of the best sailing conditions of the season but it can provide its challenges. Please remember to sail within your limits. Although the reservoir is shallow and tends to warm quickly, the water temperature during the first few weeks is still cold and the wind can be gusty at times. Please dress appropriately and keep and eye out to windward.

Also, please do not forget to fill out the COVID health check form when you arrive at the club. The binder is found in the HSC shed. It is still required by the state as a condition of our operating permit but more importantly it is used as a record for contact tracing. Fortunately we seem to be heading in the right direction so requirements may change as the season progresses but in the meantime please continue to follow the HSC COVID guidelines.
I wish everyone a fun and successful sailing season.
